PM Leads Delegation to Laos

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen departed to Laos on Monday morning, 13 February 2023 to pay an official two-day state visit to the neighboring country.

The Cambodian delegation left Phnom Penh International Airport at 8 am.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Hun Sen was accompanied by Deputy Prime Ministers, Senior Ministers, other senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia and some business leaders.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to hold separate courtesy calls with the President of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulit, and the President of the National Assembly of Laos, Sai Somphon Phumvihan.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of Laos, Sorn Siphandon, to discuss ways to further expand bilateral cooperation in all areas, including security, politics, society, economy and exchange, and to exchange thoughts on sub-regional, regional and international issues of common interest and concern.

The two Prime Ministers will also sign the "Action Plan for a Comprehensive and Long-Term Strategic Partnership between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic for 2023- 2027".
